Study last minute - Why

Why study last minute - I don't have proper answer for this question but I'm the one who study last minute for whatever exam that I have. It's hard to study last minute. So, do you study last minute - or not: Some people can study last minute, and learn a lot of things at the same time. When time is running out, the task is getting harder. I hate to study last minute, but I really have no idea to change this attitude. Huh - what to do, have to try my best to study last minute and try to reduce the error of studying last minute. Study last minute is good for some student, but not for some other student.

When i was a student, i used to study a lot for the last minute. but, i see to eat that i will read for the topic for about 5 minuites just to have an idea. and then i will study for it when the test day is near. it's because its easy for me to remember what i studied.

i agree. its quite difficult to study all the thing at the last minute. it is way better to prepare yourself in the beginning.

i usually avoid studying on the last minute. cuz it makes me very tensed and i tend to forget all that i have studied earlier. so i guess if any portion is left, its better to leave it than try to mug it up at the last moment. till the time i was in school, i always used to cover up all my syllabus beforehand. now i am in first semester in college, and i haven't touched books for the past six months..lol..so i am facing a tough time as my final exams are going on right now. but since i had attended all the lectures, so i am not having problems in understanding the things, and since we have two to three days leave between each exam, so i guess i can cover up the syllabus with ease.;)

I guess, it's the common problem of majority of the students of every generation. LOL.. I myself have been like that when I was in college. =) The most logical reasoning that I can give is we must have seen our older relative do the same habit.

Hi, each person to their own choices and preferenes i think, regarding this topic as we all have different IQ and mental levels and are all of different natures. If we feel that we ned to revise and learn before going for the exam, then we must do that, do not try to copy what others are doing, as maybe they are the kinds who have learnt or are able to pick up things faster,so they dont need to revise in the last moment, you should see yourself and what you need. There is a way to learn though, as what we used to do was to make notes of all the topics we have to learn for a particular exam, and note them down onto a single sheet of paper, notes and make them point wise. So that when the last moment stuides and revision had to be done , we had our sheet and used to simply go through that sheet only and learn before going for the exam. There should be no mugging up or learning the while course in the short time you have for revision just beofre the exam as that would make you panicky and its not the right way too, maybe you can try making notes and learn from them before going in for your exam.

Well, laziness is the reason, people dont do a systematic study and have a day by day update about their study. So they will be forced to study a huge lot in the last minute. Yes, it is irritating and annoying but some people prefer it because they'll be able to remember everything they study recently. And i am a last minute study types too but not too good at remembering things.

Yes. I always think I have more time than I actually have. It's stressful, but it usually works out.

I always study last minute. I usually think that it helps me to study late a night. I know it doesn't, thats just my excuse. I heard that when you study like 20 minutes at a time, then take a break, you learn it twice as fast though. I have yet to try that though.

I know many studens like you who study at last minute adn I am one of them.I knwo it s pretty hard to study like this, but I don't what about you , but my brain work better under pressure and remeber more, becuse the exam is soon, so I have to put to my head the most I can.But if is not good for you, you should change it and preper some schedule for yourself.Find each day one hour, when nobody will disturb you and you will do nothing else, just study.I hope your exam will be sucesfull.

When I was in University I used to be somewhat of a last minute studier. I was never good at studying as I went along in a class. But about a week before a test I would start studying hardcore. I discovered that it was very easy to get good marks on tests this way, although I retained very little after the test. I would say the key to avoid studying last minute is time management. And since you are posting on here, instead of studying, you made need to work on that. LOL :D
