Comfort zone

I am just wondering, when you see your girl/guy in despair, or when he's in a bad mood, what do you usually do to comfort her/him? And also, if it's by words, what do you usually tell him? And if you are more into intimate physical contact, what do you do? I mean, do you hug him, kiss him in the forhead or something like that? Or give him a good massage?

If my wife is not feeling well, I will do my best to do something to let her feel that I sympathise with what she is going through. Usually if there is inner turmoil or stress, there is nothing anybody can do apart from be there for their partner. Fortunately, most problems in life have a way of resolving themselves. :-0

Well, the way it works with my husband when he is in a bad mood is to leave him alone. Trying to comfort him doesn't work at all. Cooling down and time out are the only comfort he needs. I come in and comfort him after he cooled down by giving him a very big hug.
