Never ending projects

Seems like I have projects that seem to never get done. I run out of interest and put them aside or I don't have enough time to devote to them. Drives me up a wall. I started a Family Recipe Album several years ago and I still haven't finished it. I work on it in bits and pieces. Shoot I have even offered to pay my daughters to help me will no luck!! Then there are piles and piles of pictures that need to be sorted and put in frames and albums. Loads of pictures that are on the puter or on disk that haven't even been printed yet. I started a cross stitch project well over 4 years ago that hasn't even really been touched in over 3 years. Saddest thing is it is close to 3/4 done!!!! How about you.... have any of these projects that never seem to get finished???? What are they?

You sound like you have the same affliction that my daughter suffers from. I don't know how many times I used to tell her if you are not going to finish something don't start it. However it never did any good she now has children of her own and still has the same problem.

Well no that isn't entirely true. I can finish lots of projects. I have done a few cross stitch projects (large ones no less) that are framed and on my wall. I do lots of crafts (I sell them after all). But it is the time comsuming projects I seem to have trouble with lately. Could be having a baby (now toddler) with special needs is getting in my way. Plus I homeschool now too! Life has changed and the projects go unfinished. Thinking about it though I really only have 3 projects that I need to finish .... photos (and does that ever actually finish if you don't stop taking pictures LOL); cross stitch piece; and the recipe album. Ok I reckon if I do a little bit on at least one of the projects every week; then eventually one of them will get done.

Yes I have material to make my girls some new curtains that have been waiting on me for over a year now. I just can't get myself in the mood to set down and do them. Then there is the paint in the garage waiting on me to use in the kitchen. Again, just can't get in the mood. LOL, I just want to do things outside the house and when I am home and I have the free time, I want to be here. Reckon this winter maybe I will able to get it done.

That's the thing I never seem to have time to work on things. I do lots of things that I finish but there are other things that are big projects ..... things that if I take everything out to work on them I want to have time to really work on them. Clean up is a pain after all LOL

I do not even want to think about the things I have not done. I am with you on all of them. I think I got this bad habit from my mother. The only consistent thing I have done is myLot. LOL

Same here! I started a scrapbook for my daughter's birthday--three years ago! I also have an embroidery picture that has been sitting for several years! I have several unfinished clay sculptures and loads of canes I haven't used in anything! I have two language tapes I haven't listened to in months and several writing projects waiting for years! If I live to finish all the projects I've started I will be here for a few hundred years!
