What are the main reason for you to be online?

Internet are today the largest place where people meet, drink coffee and find thier information. I for one baught my first computer for over 10 years ago, but have never used it as much as I do these days. I use my computer to pay bills, find news, play online games. But recently I also have made websites and started a little home based business.
I am wondering, what are the main reasons people do get them self a computer and get online. Is it to meet people, Read information, Read new, networking, or what?

Hello anetteh, I have my computers for over ten years now and been surfing the internet. Then my main reason for going on-line was for communication purposes, to check my email and chat with my relatives and friends. Another use is for my research and information. Now the reasons more broader, I go online due to my work and home based business too. :-)

for now,i want to always online at mylot. Responding new discussion, my friend discussion, and my referal discussion. upload some picture,discofer new things in discussion. Believe me, mylot been a good diversion for me to forget my problems and for right now its been a good influence for me.

you are right. This , can not pays the bill. We still have to do what we have to do. go to work and pay the bill. I wish we can keep or power to do the best.

Yes, now it is morning, I always go in here in the mornings and write something. It is a way of waking up to the long day at work I have today between 7 to 16:30. And this evning I have union meeting to attend to. So I will not be online so much today.

Hello,
I do understand, before I started to explore ways to make money online I never sat here. But today I wish I could stay home al day just working on the computer. But this do not pay of my bills and the sat the food on the table, and in a few minutes I going of to work.

The main reason is to pay bills and keep track of our bank account. The next is to make friends and have discussions, since mylot is the second most used site I go to everyday with my bank site being the first.

Well, it seems that mylot have made lot´s of people more interested in the internet. *smile*. Thanks for responding.
This was the reason for me to explore more ways to make free money online. I have found it and now have started to make some money. It is fun, relaxing and paing of. Mabe the broadband can be paid of with this money in the end. I do hope so.

Oh I know. I have been known to get online and forget everything including to eat which is not good since I am diabetic. But I set a time limit and when it's up I'm done. :) It seems to work for me.

Well, that are god. Becouse the time goes so fast when you sit down infront of your computer that you lose it on the road. I know one day I sat here with my computer and surfed, my son came home and asked me if he would not get any dinner....i had lost in time. So, it´s best to have some eay on the time to...*big smile*.

basically i have a lot of reasons why i want to get online. first is, to check my emails on which i have so many friends to email to, or either some important matters for me to be informed. send pictures, datas to my long distance friends and etc. second is to chech friendster account in friendster.com there you see my official profile, with pictures and some informations and alo i edit it anytime i want to. third is the ym and msn, or person.com chats. just to meet new friends and since i have started it aldreay and has gained many friends so i will not stop on with them. and lastly this mylot.com because it is where i gain dollars. at least when the time comes that i can get my dollars then i would really be happy for it.

My main reason is to make money and also to keep in touch with my special friend who lives in another country. I also pay bills online. It seems such a necessity nowadays.
I don't really try to meet new people online. I just like looking at profiles.

HellO!
Working miles away from home, I go online everyday to chat and see my family online. I check my emails, first thing I do when I go online as i'm working. In my line of work I need to be always online, checking updates, searching for informations and keeping track of our clients. When i'm not working and not busy I go online to check my profiles, do some discussions here in myLOt or sometimes just piss around and surf the net. I've been using computer and surfing the net for a long time now.

Yes, the internet are the gratest thing to spend with realtives if you are away for times. Internet are great for searching information about certain things. Internet are great for many reasons. Since I have to go to work in a couple of minutes I have no time to spend for writing down al the great things with Ineternet.

My main reason is because I can chat with my son who lives over in Germany! I have 3 sons, the other two live over here in the UK, but, they scared to have anything to do with me for fear of upsetting their mother.. hey, they not young kids, the 2 here are my eldest, 38, 36, ... the son in Germany is 34! He also sends me dvds and got loads of lovely photos on comp and discs of his family life in Germany, mainly his 2 lovely young sons, my 2 grandsons!

This is a great way to have contact with relatives living abroud. This is a great way to get informations you need for some reason. It is a great way for kids in school. Internet are the best way to conect.

I like being online very much.Just communicate with oters,acquaintances or unacquaintances.I also play online games to goof.acquire useful imformation and get news are very important parts of my online time.Now I am learning English here.

Well I think if we are to count the most important invention people ever invented in modern society, internet must be one among them and should be the one range in the front.
It is the internet get us connected and give us the chance to exchange here. It is internet which make us close, make the world like a small village so that we can share what I have and you have together at such a high speed.

I get on line almost everyday in order to make full use of source on line: chatting with friends, searching information, listening to the most popular music, seeing movies...and of course sending emails to clients and friends.

You are so right, Thanks for responding. Internet have become a social network for every man on the earth, even if not everyone have the recorses to do so. But I also think we at the same time has to think about the possibiliteis of being hackerd to...there are some who do not respect peoples integrity and try to make the life of peoples right to be left alone....if you understand what I mean. Every day when I sit here, I get a warning from my braodbands provider about someone trying to connect my computer. I do have al the security I need so yet I have not been attact, however I wonder why it should be so interesting to become a part of my computer. I have no things to steel here....

I go to the internet every day. I mainly use it to find information. Sometimes when I feel lonely, I will listen to music online or watch movies. I also think internet is a good tool to make friends who live faraway in the world.

Every day I discover something new on the Internet (for instance MyLot which I only discovered yesterday after more than 10 years of surfing!). But now my main objective is to work on my passion to write articles and publish it. The Internet was the ideal platform to do and I even now have my own website where I write and publish my own content. I am now not dependent on anyone else to publish.

The main reason why I am on line is to reach out to the world. I want to get to know the world outside of my little part of it, but as yet I can't really afford to travel. The internet is a wonderful way to meet people, and to stay in touch. The internet is also a cool way to make a few extra bucks like I'm doing here on MyLot.

I dont really have a concrete reason why i come online. I just bought this computer four months ago. Ane we had just installed broad band just recently. At first i come online for surfing and just simply researching. But my sister in law reffered to me this site and i find it pretty cool. When im at home im always at the front of my computer finding myself at mylot and looking for a good discussion to post my comments and points of views. Its really where i spend most of my time. I think im addicted to this site. hahahaha...Before i dont know whats my reason on coming online but now i already know y i come online. Its because of mylot. I think im inlove with this site. hehehehhe. pretty weird answer u got there huh! But I had also my other reason why im always online and it is to have a bonding to my long lost friends and relatives that I have not seen for such a long years. Do a little chit-chat and commemorate our past experiences.Isn't it amazing how computers and internet do to us. It just made our lives more convenient to live with. :)

Yes you are absolutaly right. People who are not the type of perosns that go out to met people in general do have the internet as a help. Here they can be hidden behind a screen. And still talk to someone. That is god, however you should be careful to.
