The top ten reasons for ... Obesity

many people these days are overweight , not just a little bit but to a degree to which is labeled detrimental to the health and thus morbid. what do you think causes a person to literally eat themselves to death for what are the top ten justifications for continuing on a path of morbid obesity? one -genetic predisposition two-depression three -catastrophic losses (i.e. death of a loved one , divorce , sudden loss of home or safety net ) four-obsessive compulsive disorders five - they decide that if someone is going to love them they will have to love them regardless of size. six - they really lived in a cave have not heard about all the health risks to being overweight. seven - denial eight - loss of mobility nine - aging ten-low or no self esteem

i think ur ten reasons are jus great but there other reasons also for their weight gain it can less active routiene ,hereditary ,thyriod ,simple over eating ,aging ,harmonical changes ,misfunction of an intregal part ,....these are some of the few i can think of ..may a doctor would have better and through knowledge of what causes obesity ...but i am glad that u had so much in store

I can admit that I'M overweight, but only of 20lbs. I try to eat healthy, but someday it's just hard. My boyfriend always buy cookies that I like or dessert that I like lol. But I'M happy that I can still control myself. I lost 10lbs last year and never gain it back. I hope to loose the 20lbs (and more) after my pregnancy) There is so much people that really have obesity and thse days it's starting with kids. How many tv show I saw 3-4-5 years old kids who where overweight and that was because of their parents. So I would say that for teenager and kids obesity the main reason is the parents.

Hi sharone74, Those could be some reasons that people are over weight, but another is that we are starving ourselves. By eating chemically treated foods we are depleting the nutrients our bodies need. Eating more live foods, that is organic and fresh, we feel fuller when we eat these things. Also a lack of fiber which has been proven to fill us up is lacking.. What we need is more fiber and fresh fruits and vegetables and then we won't feel so down and depressed, etc.. that would cause the overeating..
