I would teach him a lesson and come up with some names for him. I don't believe in name calling, but sometimes someone needs taught a lesson. If he calls her lizard lips maybe she can call him lizard breath. Horse Face can be horse A$$, Of course there are some not so nice names I can come up with, most of them mylot won't let me post.

I am so happy I was able to brighten up your evening. I am off to bed, I have to get up and go to church and ask for forgiveness for some of my thoughts, haha. Take care and good night.

Well they do say having pet names for people which is a very Aussie thing to do here is a sign of acceptance and or affection, and to be honest we sometimes have not so flattering nicknames for the people we care about, maybe this fella is like a lot of fellas not comfortable with lovey dovey names but seeing as she is a pretty person and knows they are just pet names for her, maybe he has other ways of showing her how much he loves her to make up for the funny names he calls her....men can be such funny creatures but then I call a lot of people chook so I can't talk...hahahahah

If it doesn't bother her, why are you letting it bother you? NOYB, slick, sorry, but it's her marriage.

I think they are just freaks like that. My hubs calls me weird names too, like Hefner...wth? So, I created a name for him just as idiotic: Big Butt...the man has no butt, lol. By the way, tone is subjective, I was being blunt, not b|tchy.

I dont understand why people call people they claim to love names it just dosnt seem right.I do have pet names for my husband but they are not names that I think would hurt his feelings. if the name calling bothwers her she should have a talk with him about it.

LMAO.... I think when love overflows, it all happens, or even when there is absolutely no love the same would happen. Ask your friend whether her husband belongs to any of the two extremes i've mentioned above. If not, he might be suffering from some psychological disorder, there are too many. Some people look absolutely normal, but they won't be, psychological disorders are numerous and various. One sitting with a psychiatrist won't do much harm, if possible, she can invoke a psychiatrist for help.

You might be right about that,it just seems strange to me,the names being so ugly..my husband and i have little pet names but not ugly like that.he often calls me "punky" but thats sweet not a ugly dog face like name..If my husband called me frog face i would be hurt...It takes all kinds i guess...

I share your concern. Why not say, baby, honey, sweetyyou know all those loving names. Well out of hte abundance of the heart the mouth speaks the Bible says so maybe he is just showing what is inside. As a matter of fact I beleive that is what is happening but maybe she grew up with a backgroundwhere those names were names of love? I dont know but I dont take those things lightly and its certainly no laughing matter for me

I grew up with this gal as a friend and her family did not have a back ground of name calling..I believe it is little slur names since he never calls he anything sweet, but thats just my opinion...i would never say anything but to me he puts her down...She is a very pretty woman as i said, but he is not a great looking man as far as men go...He is a very good worker and does make a living for her..i see that he calles her lizard lips a lot and i think its becuase she has thin lips and not full lips,so to me its because her lips are thin..TRhose other mnmes i have not clue because she sure does not look like a frog or horse or snake...LOL i just think its weird...

Maybe it's a joke between them, like sarcasm.. meaning she's so prety (to him) calling her these names is outrageous. Well, I hope this is the case! And not part of a controlling thing. Is it possible to be both I wonder?

Ive never though about it as a controlling thing..he is controlling because she is always waiting on him hand and foot but she loves him and i suppose its their life,i was just wondering why he does not call her sweeter names or maybe a less less ugly

HAHA I laughed out loud when i read your post! you just gave me some new names to call my hubby! LOL ok but on a serious note, my hubby and I call each other names all the time, but its in a joking way and its something that only we understand. We also fuss alot, but mostly in joking, and others who are around us take us seriously. My inlaws even tried to step in and repremand us once, until they learned we were kidding! maybe thats what is going on with your friend. Does she say things back to him??

I'd say if it doesn't bother her...leave it be. My Dad and Stepmom have been married 34 years and they love each other very much and they call each other Frog and Toad (her being the Frog) LOL If it does bother your friend, then maybe she needs to talk to him and let him know how she feels. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

Ok... Horse face is a name I've used myself in a mean way. As much as I hate to see it. However, I'd think that maybe if she doesn't think much of it...that it's simply just pet names. I mean, I jokingly call a friend of mine "Fatty McFat-fat" and she's not fat at all and she knows that I'm not really calling her fat nor do I actually mean it. So in some way it's kind of like a pet name between friends. I don't call her that out in public or really around anyone else. She's called me plenty of names jokingly too. It's just the way we are. have you ever thought to ask her husband why he calls her that?
