Singing to plants! / myLot

Just recently read in paper that plants can sense singing to them. I don't know if it's really true but I had also heard it from somewhereelse before I came across that in paper that plants grow faster if we sing to them. It may sound funny but I shall start humming whenver I water my plants. Do you like to believe this or have you been singing to your plants all these days?

Hi there. I know my mom use to do this very thing, sing and talk to her plants, and it must've worked because her plants were so healthy and grew so big...

Talking to palnts is a very common thing, I admit I also do it. I would sing to my plants but I think they would definately die from my screeching. I think playing c.d's is better for both of us. I think my palants appreciate my music because they are growing beautifully. As for mums talking to plants it is harmless, I could think of worse things. Plant people keep talking to your plants. Bye

Mythbusters did a show about this. They recorded tapes of them talking nicely and talking 'mean' things to the plants. They also played heavy metal and classical music. The watering system failed but the heavy metal music grew the most.s
