Hi everyone. Since I'm a freelance writer, I am considering upgrading my old 35mm for a digital so I will be able to offer graphics with my writing. My experience with this format is minimal, however. Are there any experienced photogs here who sell to stock photo sites? I could use some tips or tutorial links on creating high quality digital photgraphs. I hope to use stock photo sites to recoup my investment and to gain pratical experience before submitting to publishers. All advice welcomed.

I do stock photos. The best advise I can give is that stock agencies want high quality/high resolution photos. The best way to achieve that is to get a DSLR, although I don't use one. I use a mega zoom camera- Panasonic DMC-FZ30, but I'll be getting one soon. Canon cameras are the best, usually. If you have anymore question, just ask. I can help ya out.

thanks Rachelzwo, I'm going to add you to my friends list to make it easy to find you. I've had a 35mm canon rebel for about 10 years now. I'm going to get a digital. I have read online that they will give me a high enough resolution for most stock photo sites. Which sites do you submit to?

I do not know of any sites that buy photos. I have some photos on Big Stock http://www.bigstockphoto.com/ where people can submit photos and ohters can buy them. I have not had any sales yet but I am always looking for god shots to post.
