Is this considered spam?

In the past day I got to friend invites. Since I'm quite new here, I accepted and thought that it was great.... Until I got messages from both people and it was to sign up for PTC and PTP sites.
I was more than annoyed! I didn't ask anyone to send me anything.... If I was looking, I would ask!
How frustrating!!!!!
I deleted them as friends, is there anything else I can do? I mean, does that block them from sending me more messages?

Hi,
Yes I consider it as spam and delete any that do that to me. Once you've deleted them they can no longer send you private messages through myLot. I've been pretty lucky in that in my time here I've only ever had a couple of people do that so hopefully you won't continue to receive that type of message and instead you'll be able to enjoy the time you spend here by participating in discussions or only receiving emails you actually want to receive :-)

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm so happy they can't reach me anymore. I mean, I have sites I visit as well and would love to have referrals for, but sending out random messages is just plain rude.
But, I'll tell you a secret, I sent them my own message before I deleted them. LOL ;)
