I have been going through menopause for a few years now. The hot flashes are the worst!!! I mean I had my last cycle July of last year so I was happy that I wouldn't have to be buying new underwear every three moths anymore until I got the new puppy I have who has me down to three. Anyway, I wake up every nite 2 or 3 times from the hot flashes and have to keep my air conditioner on about 65 which is killing our budget. I take black Cohosh which helps some. I tried hormone replacement for a few months but being one of the side affects is DEATH quit taking them and decided I'd try phytoestrogens instead. I also try to drink soy milk. But still the dad burn things are driving me crazy. You never know when one will hit and the sweat will start pouring out.

I LIVE in a hot flash! It started out like most women, a very uncomfortable hot feeling through my chest and face. It would last about 5 minutes. That was six years ago! I also tried everything that promised to help, and none of it did. Now these 'flashes' envelope my entire body and last for 30-40 minutes! My last doctor thought I was exaggurating and did nothing. The new doctor was going to research for me, so I hope to be past this soon. I have found that the B-2 (riboflavin), magnesium, B-complex that I use to keep my migraines away helps quite a bit... I may just need to have the dosage adjusted.

Many people look at this in a negative way... I was glad to have all that anxiety over with! There IS a sense of freedom that comes with it, and I'll put my other problems behind me when I sleep, and I'll dream of becoming a butterfly! Who can tell what life will be when I wake?!

Ladies, you do not have to suffer with night sweats and hot flashes! I have taken it on as my mission to help other women who are battling these symptoms. You are low on Progestrone not Estrogen! Please go to www.johnleemd.com and learn about what is going on to cause menopausal symptoms! Then if you want to quit having these symptoms please go to www.nomorehotflashes.myarbonne.com and look at the hormone balancing creams. I used to have hotflashes and I thought I was going to burn up inside. But after I started using the Phyto Prolief cream, I have never felt better! If you want to order a bottle, please send me a message! I hope this helps you! That is my mission!

I have night sweats and hot flashes, mood swings and crying spells. When will it end??? I also have trouble sleeping at night, memory farts, and can't talk to boot. But, I keep on keeping on. I too have tried black cohosh root and soy milk. I also take evening primrose oil and vitamin E. Last month I missed a cycle! Yea! But, who knows what this month will bring. Probably facial hair.

It sounds like you are in the stage of perimenopause which is what they call the stage where you are just starting to go through menopause. I didn't realize I was going through it at all I thought I was too young. I started in my late 30's but I am a smoker, so that tends to bring it on faster, I of course know this now but not then. At first I thought I had aids because one of the symptoms is night sweats, but through the grace of God I don't have it. Then I thought everyone else was crazy because they couldn't feel the heat, LOL . Anyway baby I don't know when it ends. I saw my mother about a year ago she's 71 and she's lying on the couch and she says Kim take my temperature I think I'm getting sick , so we took her temp she was fine. I said Mom you are having a hot flash, she of course denied it lol. It was funny though, dadburn woman hates to face reality. I don't know when it ends.

oh and on the facial hair I have one coarse white hair that grows on one side of my chin and one coarse black hair that grows on the other side I have to pluck them about once a month. I guess this isn't too encouraging, is it? Lol

yessssss Hot flashes are mostly caused by the hormonal changes of menopause, but can also be affected by lifestyle and medications.

Ladies, whosoever read this first and can answer me, please help a sister out. Anyhow, I'm at a point in life where I just can't take the a/c being on ALL the darn time. shucks, I want it off. Yet, my 17 y/o daughter wants it on and even has a fan on big time in her room. I notice that from time to time, I forget stuff; not into the hot flashes yet, but if someone knows the key in keeping them out, please help too. Also, I am not sure if this particular item is helpful, but , you may have some comfort from it.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FJTQOC/ref=wl_it_dp/104-8671158-4006309?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1B01BB2Y3VD3I&colid=9UN19A3OB9I3

Well, maybe your daughter is going through menopause because believe when you start going through it you'll want the air conditioner, fan or whatever on because they are unbearable. Just don't be like me and not even realize it's happening until you've going through it for a couple of years. I am amused at myself at some of the things I did though.

I'm not old enough for that yet but I have heard that if you drink some flax seed in hot water like you would your tea it is suppose to completely take away hot flashes. I do not know how true it is just something that I have heard, it may be something to look into though.

OMG do I have years to look forward to?! When my "little visitor" finally went to someone else's house I was thrilled!! I started thinking of all the money I would be saving every month...and then it happened. Is it hot in here, or is it me? Sometimes I think spontaneous combustion is a distinct possibility. And oh yes, the feeling like crying at the drop of a hat! My dogs probably think I've turned into a raging lunatic. I CAN'T WAIT FOR WINTER!!!!!

yes sometimes my hot flushes wake me at night but I found that soya milk and taking a soya tablet at night does help with this problem although some nights are still much worse than others. I also have never taken HRT and have relied on just soya to help me. After a few years now the problem is getting better

Austinbell, you are more than likely low on Progesterone. Please go to www.johnleemd.com and learn what low progesterone levels can do to a woman! If you would like you can also go to www.nomorehotflashes.myarbonne.com and read my story also! I would love to help you!
