My E-Gold account got hacked .....

I logged into my E-Gold account today and found only $0.01 in it. There was $13.11 in it. Someone called 'lehanming' hacked it and transferred $13.10 in his account. I am very sad, angry too that why someone need to do this. Snatching on other's hard earned money. I am very tense too that my MyLot account isn't safe too. Thanks God I haven't set MyLot to pay me in E-Gold. I have written to E-Gold to inquire but I have no hope I"ll get back my money. Who knows I may say goodbye to MyLot and all other online earning opportunities I am member of.

I have'nt been around here so this is the first time I heard this. Actually I'm not that shock cause I have red in many forum and others too say that egold is not really that safe thats why mylot do not consider egld anymore as a payment option. I guess all you can do is make another account and change your passphrase frequent.

How did they get your e-gold account information? so sorry to hear that ashar! is there anyway you can report this?

Well I have reported to E-Gold by contacting them and sending an E-mail right after the robbing incident happened but no luck. They just replied back that its against company's policy to freeze someone else's account. They even saw the transaction made but didn't do anything.... me and my luck.

Is that truth ? How did the hacker get your E-Gold account ? Because e-Gold has double security even though they got your password !! So why your information has been exposed ?? Pls tell us for prevention !

I read another post today where someone had hacked into someone else's e-gold account too and took all their money out. What is going on with them? I don't have e-gold so I'm not sure exactly how that works. I'm sorry they did that to you and I hope e-gold can figure out what is going on.

I am very sorry that this has happened to you. I know that I would be pretty angry also. I am sure that if you report whatever you know to the proper authorities, they can track this person down and prosecute.
This is such a big problem on the internet. We all have to be so very careful. I am with Paypal and have never had a problem.

Hey. Now how did that happen... Im glad i read this piece of information, now I know not too join up under that site... Its a shame it happened to you or anyone for that matter, the guy must have been desperate to rob you of $13.00... Anyway, now you need to focus on what can be done about it, and take extra precautions so it doesnt happen again... Have a great day...

there is a virus called e-gold hacker, which is infected in ie browser, may be your ie browser has that virus, check for it..
e-gold alc is for criminals, all scam artists have e-gold alc, it has worst customer service, you have written to them, it is highly unlikely that they will respond...
there customer service sucks big time, i have emailed them several times, but i have never recieved response from them

clear your egold cookies everytime after you login.don't browsing on suspective websites before login to e-gold may prevent your account been hacked by spyware.if you're internet explorer user,clear all cookies everyday after using of internet.

I have not worked with e-gold but I never heard this about e-gold, but yes, you never know what can happen to this online things and when as i always think paypal is wonderful but came to know from a friend of myLot that her paypal account was hacked, so its real scary and we should always be somuh careful about it. This is really relly sad to hear this but hope you will get some help from e-gold, just try and if you dont get back from them send the mail again to them, I really wish for you toget back the money

Hello ashar e-gold is not earning this is wher u store your money.but its not secure store money.But now they improving they security levels more better than before.they will send a confirmation code to your email add.then you use the code to send money each time u want to transfer fund to other account
