How many years do you have to go to school in Singapore? I lived there some time ago, but don't remember.

If you consider the norm, it would be around 6 yrs primary school, 4 yrs secondary (5 for some), 2 yrs in Junior College , 2yrs for guys with national service, 4 yrs in University, that makes the time around 16 years. Darn.

16 years is the same as it is here, unless you opt for something more specialized. Doctors and so on, have more school time to put in, but crafts or trades take less. Sixteen years does sound like a lot of time, though!

where are you currently? Oh so it seems like students around the world suffer the same fate. Do you all go through many major exams? like GCE O and A Levels?

Actually you should feel very lucky that you are studding in Singapore. If you are studding in China I think you became mad already. And maybe you feel study is very boring, but when you start to work, you will feel that how happy if you are still in school.

Hello there. What JC are you from? I was from ACJC. I think the mugging is worthwhile. Since you chose to go into JC, do make sure you do well for your A levels or at least do try to make it into the course you want to go into. There are many universities now in our small sunny island. It's going to be competitive for you next time. Try to enjoy your schooling life now. Study hard and play hard. =D No matter what, schooling is better than working. It's less stressful. I miss my schooling days a lot. =(

I think education system is very good though extremely intensive. But when you come out of it it is really worth all that mugging. You just have to be tolerant and in good spirits, you will learn a lot from it. Cheers.
