Have You Ever Dreamt of Living on an Island Alone?

Has anyone dreamt (or day-dreamed) about living on an island alone for the rest of their lives? Have you ever had an actual experience of being alone on an island? Would you consider living on an island alone if you were paid to do so? If yes, how much money would you require to do so?

What I'm wondering is, why do humans feel the need to be around other people? I don't think anyone wants to be alone, except for the very few! I thought about it, and it would be nice for a vacation, but I don't think I could do it for an expended length of time!

Hi ASL19741978, and yes I defnitely have dreamt about having an island on my own, even though a small one. I wouldn't like to be on my very own there however, and would liketo have at least my partner and pets with me, as I am not the robinson Crusau type of person ;) And no, paid or not paid for it, I wouldn't like to be there on my own for longer than a month at the maximum ;)

Hi fortunes, I find it interesting that your view is probably a common view with most people. I believe most people don't like being alone, especially in an isolated place like an island. I guess that is why people find stories of Robinson Crusoe and the Swiss Family Robinson fascinating. Thanks for your response! :)
