Any other bp parents here?

Hello to all. My name is Brandi and I am the mother of a bipolar child (possibly two, the youngest is too young to be dx'd yet). I would like to find other parents who are dealing with the same things I am. We are still very early in the treatment process with my son. He is now taking 60mg Geodon and 0.1mg Clonidine at night. This is the 4th set of meds we have been on. The Geodon is working better than anything else has, however we are still stuck in hypomania.

I don't have a daughter with BP fortunately or if I do she is only 2 and showing no signs I really hope she doesn't get it. I have schizo affective disorder which is like schizophrenia and bipolar rolled into 1 like a double whammy. My cousin has bipolar and it does run in the family. I pray my daughter doesn't get it.

hi Brandi.i feel very disease by his son.
Fortunately i have not the case in the family but wish that everything is well with you.
One advice: Do not be hoping that the other child also has the disease. Wait always the best.
In biblia Job said: "it happened what i feared".
Then: no matter!! Hoping the positive is halfway to the solution.
