We are asked to believe

we are asked to believe, and many people say seeing is believeing. But the BIble asks us to beieve with out seeing. Can you believe what you can not see or do you need to see to believe? Most people do not believe just becuase they read it or are told some thing. So this is faith. To believe what you can not see, and believe it with all your heart.

As much as I agree that "seeing is believing" I think that ppl who live SOLELY by that expression are making a huge mistake...I dont see the air I breathe but I know its there because I feel it..For me seeing is sometimes believing but more often than not its feeling....Now I'm not a Christian but I'm a very spiritual woman and though I can't SEE certain things that are part of my beliefs I FEEL them and just plain KNOW in my core they are true and real..

Faith is belief beyond reason. The real question that must be asked about blind faith is why? Does blind faith originate in fear of the unknown or is it a product of evolution? Many scientists now believe that religion that comes from faith is an evolutionary adaptation. Because of it we formed cohesive groups that gave us a better chance of survival.

Oh yes you can believe without seeing with your physical eyes. We cannot "see" God, but we can see the evidence of Him. I can see Him thru other people. I can see Him thru His awesome creation. I can see Him in the things He has done in my life. What about people who are born blind? They don't see things with their eyes, but I'm sure they believe in things they can't see. There is not the slightest doubt in my mind that God exists. He is everywhere and I know He is with me right now as He always is. God bless.

I think you can believe with out seeing. For example, i believe in ghosts although I have never seen one. It really depends on the situation. In some cases, I need to see proof to believe something. But yes, I think you can believe with out realling knowing.
