Of course I don't blame a god for anything. One of the first people to work out the calculation that resulted in the 99.9% figure was Ernst Mayr who is the Professor Emeritus at the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University where he has worked since 1953. He explains his methodology in his book, What Evolution Is. If you are interested I suggest you pick up a copy and read it.
