Litterbox for your dog: Do you train you dog to use a liter box? / myLot

I do train my dog to use a litterbox for toiletting purposes-it can stink, but i avoid the mess around the home from dog's droppings. Do you?

I've never heard of using a litter box for a dog. I've always trained them from the beginning to go to the door when they have to go. I have used those little pads that are available and they made life a lot easier for both of us.

I have three dogs who are trained to go outdoors, but if I had a very small dog I think I would train it to a litterbox for convenience. If the box is kept clean and in an out-of-the-way spot the odor shouldn't be a big problem!
