who has more hangers in their closet. These boys are 9 and 11. Both suffer from ADHD. When I say they fight about everything, I mean everything. Even clothes. We have to label their clothes so they don't fight, and yet they still fight about those. We have to label all of their toys, everything. Just 10 minutes ago, they were fighting over a pencil. And it wasn't even theirs. It was mine. What can I do to keep them from fighting, aside from permenant seperation? I am at my wits end here. Please HELP

I'd say just flat out separation. I see this with my ADHD students a lot. They want to argue over everything. They take each others' stuff and swear it's theirs, even when I JUST saw them taking it from the other person. Are your kids on medication? Maybe you should talk to their doctor about their possessivness....he might can help.

Yes, I think sepration may be the only solution. But it seems so harsh to seperate family members from each other. They have appointments in a few days with their doc, will talk to him about the possessiveness.

aw, sibling rivalry. I really wish I had an answer for you but i don't. I have 4 girls and while growing up they fought over everything and then some. Over time, I learned to block it (somewhat) and only step in if things began to look as if they might get physical. They are grown now and for the most part are best of friends which is awesome to witness. Still, they have their moments when the revert to old ways. I think the best you can do is to find something to do while they are fighting and try not to let it get to you. It is not easy at all, i know. One will always scream ,"mom!". I used to tell my girls to figure it out between themselves....i will say that I was not always able to do this. My heart goes out to you. It is very hard to listen to.

For my boys almost every fight becomes physical so there is no ignoring the problem. I just wish that they would understand that in life, you always have your family if nothing else.
