Politicians have created an unnecessary controversy on Ramsetu. Indian Govt filed an affidavit in the court on this issue and declared that Ram did not exist. Did the Govt not know that Ram is worshiped by Hindus as an incarnation of God and any such declaration will hurt them and politicians will exploit it to their advantage. When Hindus expressed their hurt Govt withdrew the affidavit. Then Tamilnadu CM, Karunanidhi, used abusive language about Ram. It was totally unnecessary. What he meant to achieve by abusing Ram? Now a group of saints in Ayodhya have come out with a statement that anybody beheading Tamilnadu CM will be weighed in Gold. No, this is not right. I request saints to desist from such statements. Hinduism teaches tolerance. This is not the first time when people have attacked Hindus and Hinduism. If Karunanidhi thinks that he will get happiness by abusing Ram then let him do it. It will be between him and Ram. Ram is every Hindu's ideal. Ram will take care of Himself. Let us follow His ideals and follow His policy of forgiveness. This is what Ram has taught us and this is how we should behave. Love all, hate none.

Who is it that is perverting the teachings of the Hindu religion to the point that it is giving Islam a good run for its money for lack of tolerance? Beheading people is more in line with the teaching of Islam. It is not the teaching of Hinduism

I am a Hindu. My religion teach love and compassion for others irrespective of their faith. Many Hindus do not believe in God and yet they aecepted as Hindus. I was hurt when a person abused Ram, but I was more hurt when a person talked about beheading him. This is not Hinduism and this is against the ideals of Shri Ram. I thank you for understanding the teachings of Hinduism.

But Indian kings did not attack other kings for religion. Fighting on religion was started in India by Muslims. But why copy wrong practices? It is unfortunate that some Hindus behaved in this way.

let me tell you this, DMK party for which Karunanidhi the CM, does not belive in any God. They have been silent on this issue for some time. Earlier they us to mock Christians too. Forget it. secondly, No religion sentiments to be taken to court. Religion is faith, faith is ones self, its not for court to say that our faith is right or wrong, its within us. No Religon can be proved in the court of law. Its also important to respects others religion. If you dont respect others religion, how do you expect him to respect yours ? finally its all a political drama, to gain fame , power name and money, both the DMK and the BJP will make gain out of it. its sad such stupid things are done in a great developing country. which hinders its development.

Thanks for your nice response. I fully agree with you. Faith is a personal matter. How court or anybody else can have any jurisdiction over it? Congress started it by submitting an affidavit in the court. Later they withdrew it but the damage has been done. DMK and BJP jumped to make political capital out of it. To serve their vested political interests, these politicians can do any harm to social integration. It is a matter of great satisfaction that common Hindus have not joined this madness.

You are right. I fully agree with your views. We Hindus should live the way our ideal Shri Ram has taught us to live. 'Love all, hate none' should be our aim in life. Forgive those who get pleasure by abusing Ram. Being violent on such issues will be against the teachings of Ram.
