Good luck!! :) are u planing on living on ur own? :) its exciting and u get *freedom* but... can u afford it!? I had my FREEDOM really at 16 or so while living at home too tho - in most times when i wanted, eat when and what i wanted ( bought my own food as well- paid *rent* room & board when i lived there as well)-i worked then also. that DIDNT last long tho i went away to school at 18!! I DID, however move back home for a bit after grad. i just couldnt afford it... yet! lol till i got offered a job Back up where i went to school - here where i live still :)X BUT... no matter what u do live alone or home u have to work! :)XX parents cant support u - in some countries/states they cant carry u in thier insurance after 18:( - ( i believe... espcailly if ur not living there - anyone correct me if im wrong there ) but having freedom comes responsibilities to urself as well :) Just think through and plan well before *JUMPING ship* - so to speak lol lol Sometimes we have it MADE while still at home!! :) GOOD luck! xx :)

My parents were very controlling. So I didn't feel free till I moved out -- age 24.

I got my freedom when I was 18 years old, but I had to fight for it. My family told me I couldn't live with them, even though I was very ill, but then when I was said I was going to leave the area entirely they threatened me. I had to tell everyone I wasn't actually going to leave yet, and then sneak away while no one was home. If I hadn't done so, they would have found some way to prevent me. Even now, I know that if I didn't live so far away from them (almost 1000 miles) they would be causing me harm every day, and a danger to my child as well.

I think i get my own freedom when i in college time. When i wan in secondary, my parent will let me go anywhere and do anything i want to do but need inform them before i go and i also cant go back home late. If it was late, they will call to me and ask me when i will back to home. But now it is better already as i more bigger and will do not go to do the things that make trouble to myself and family too.
