How old where you when you got your first camera? What kind was it? Did you have fun with it? I think I was like 8 or 9 and it was one of those 110 kind, a pink Barbie camera. I loved it, I would run around taking pictures of everyone and everything and it was always the first thing I packed when we'd go on vacations.

It's a lot of fun and really easy to do. I'm sure there are online guides as to how to do it, try ehow.com and see if they have anything.

I think I must have always had a camera in my hand..usually borrowing my mother's classic Kodak Brownie camera that used 120 film---when I was about eleven though my mom got me my first Polaroid, that only took black and white pictures. It was until 1976, when I got my first 35mm camera, a Kalimar that I seriously began to think in terms of making photography my profession. I took classes at The Parsons School of Design where I learned how to develop my own black and white prints and film..now I was really hooked and a year later, in 1977 upgraded myself to a Nikon camera, which believe it or not I still use..and yes it still works fine--of course I would eventually like to get a newer 35mm Nikon film camera and a digital one as well...hey I'll put that on my vision board! LOL

Wow that's great. LOL, tonight is vision board idea nite! I started to make another one but then I was kinda iffy about it, I mean I'm not sure how mine's working? I want a good digital, I've got a Kodak Easy Share and it's good and I forgot what my regular one is, I mainly use the digital. I want a more professional one though, I love photography.

I was probably 6 or 7 when I got my KODAK Browine Camera. My Uncle and Cousin worked for Kodak and were able to get outdated film for us free. My fater was an amature photographer and we would set up in the bassement and develop our film and print the photos. I still remember rolling them on a mirror to give them a shinny finsh wehn they were dry. I too purchased digital cameras for my grand daughters. I hope they will get as much enjoyment as I do from photography.

That sounds like it must have been so much fun. Sometimes with all the digital ones around, I start to miss the days when I'd play around in the school dark room and go through the whole process. That's a great gift for your grandaughters, I think the arts teach kids a lot.

I was like 13 when I bougth my firs camera, it was also one of those 110, a black one, with the botton to take the pictures red, and you have to move it from one piv to the next... It was fun... I guess is still somewhere at home...
