Have you ever worked in Dubai?

Today, my brother-in-law went to Dubai for a 2-year job contract. The pay that he would get in that place is 3 times as much as he would get in here (if I'm not mistaken). That would be good for his family. The sad thing is that he would be missed especially by my sister and their two daughters, a 3 and a 4-year old. I just hope and pray that he would be safe and healthy in there. As for me, I'll do my best to support my sister and my nieces.

I grew up in the Middle East. But fortunately for us, we were together as a family. I'm sure your brother-in-law will be able to take the family along soon once he is settled. If the pay is good, I don't think there will be any problem in taking them along. I've known people who were there for years and couldn't afford to go on vacation to meet their families or participate in family functions. That's sad.

Well, that's good news! I really hope too that everything will be ok for him there in Dubai. But, you know? it didn't occur to me that he might get my sister and his 2 kids to stay there with him. I'm surely going to miss them all if that happens. But, if it does, it's fine with me too because they can be together as a family. That's what really matters most.

Dubai is probably the most fun place to be in the Middle East. They have a very tollerant attitude towards outsiders and I hope your brother-in-law will enjoy working in one of the fastest growing cities in the world. ;) - best wishes
