Curly Hair

I have naturally curly hair. When it's very humid, like it is this afternoon, my hair tends to do whatever it wants to. No amount of hair spray, gel, mousse or combing is going to do any good. I had grown my hair out until it was almost at my waist when it was wet and the curls stretched out. Then when I had surgery, some of the medications and anesthesia just fried and frizzed it. I was so sick when I got out of the hospital and saw how awful my hair had become. So I had to get it all cut off and start over growing it out. Now it's at that in between stage where it's just kind of doing what it wants to all the time. What do you think your worst trait is? Is it physical or personality related? Mine would have to be my hair, and my temper.

Hey, maybe we're related - my nic name is 'Sky Slope' in reference to my nose :( I just tell people that's ok, I have a brother with an even longer nose than me :)

I have a very flat, very wide nose. I don't know where it came from. I used to get called piggy when I was in school by some of the meaner kids. As I've grown, I just shrug it off, if someone says something about my nose. But as an 8 year old, it hurt my feelings really badly.

Oh carpenter I know what you mean - things children say can hurt. I on the other hand know where my 'nose' came from. When I was very young my natural mother and her sister (my aunt) used to say I had my father's nose. I was always trying to figure out what he looked like if I had his nose he must have mine (picturing this big man with a little girl's nose). Later when I was older I realized we both, my father and I, have a rather long nose with a little 'hump' from the side they do look like a ski slope :)

I would have to say mine is a personality trait and I'm torn because I do like myself but..... I am very very trusting, sometimes too trusting and often people take advantage of that. I guess in a perfect world I would be fine but right now I would like to not be so trusting.

LOL - we sound very much alike, I too avoid people who have caused me to mistrust them, don't like confrontations, and also hold on to those negative feelings. I'm not a pastor's wife but it must be very difficult - I know I struggle with that, knowing I shouldn't hold on to those feelings but having trouble letting go. I have learned that when I do manage to let go and move on I feel better.

You are talking to the trust queen. That is until you do something to blow that trust, and then I can be quite unforgiving. I know that's a big no-no being a pastor's wife, but when i get hurt, I seem to have this big problem of wanting to shut myself away from the person who hurt me. I don't do confrontation well.

I think that trust is something that once lost, must be earned back, and sometimes it takes a long time to do that. Most of us aren't going to deliberately put ourselves into a situation to be hurt over and over again.

why not cut all your hair to avoid it all. Like Britney spears

How do you spell Gross? That is the most awful thing I think any woman can do. I love my hair long. I just don't like the in between stages. Do you really think that the crew cut on Brittany was a good thing?

I have naturally curly hair as well. I used to get so many compliments on it. That was before one of my health problems reared up, and I lost most of my hair. I still get compliments on my hair, but it's a wig now. I think my worst physical trait is my partial baldness (that is SO hard for me to talk about), and my worst personality trait is trying to solve other people's problems when they do not WANT my help!

There are so many wigs today that are just gorgeous. One of my mom's friends has really thin hair. She has to wear a wig, and it looks so natural, that I was shocked when she told me!

I have curly hair too. But I get to cover it by hair gels, creams, wax, etc. Sometimes, I go out with a hat on my head. Yet I'm proud of it. It looks nice as long as you'll take care of it. Hair is ones crowning glory. It is such an important factor to determine ones personality indeed.

I look horrible in hats. My daughter can wear a hat, and look cute and festive and in style. I look like someone planted a bucket on my head. I guess the shape of my face simply isn't made to wear hats. Aw well...such as life.

I wash my hair every day. I have a very oily skin and scalp, and if I don't shower and shampoo each morning, you could probably fry an egg on my head. You have no hair...or you have no curly hair?
