Do you think you have been a good parent to your kid(s)?

Looking at the news lately surely shows some bad parenting with most of the people now-a-days. Teenagers going nuts and just killing their classmates in cold blood ~ the list goes on and on. Do you think this is a case of bad parenting? or is it because of the environment around us? On the personal level. Do you think you have been a good parent to your kid(s)? What do you think is the real measurement of being a good parent?

I don't think it's so much bad parenting as a lack of parenting. Parents and their children don't spend as much time together as families did years ago. I know people are busy in their lives, but they tend to forget to take time for family too. It might help get kids off the streets and back into their parents lives if the parents were a little more involved with them. Of course, the kids have to make the effort too. I'm not a parent yet, but I want my kids to know that I want to be around them and that I will always make time for them. My mom did and still does and that always meant a lot to me.

I agree. I think kids and parents must work hand-in-hand to keep the relationship burning and the bond a little stronger. Could you blame parents for their kid(s) misbehavior then?

Why do you think so? What sort of plans do you have? What do you mean you don't like kid very much? you don't like your child?
