What was your first pet?

I didn't get my first pet until I was 15. It was a cocker spaniel puppy and her name is Destiny. I stil have her now and she is nearly 13 years old. She is my very best friend. We now have a second dog who is only 6 months. They get along very well.

I've never had a pet, but my brother's first pet was one of those aqua baby frogs. It lasted 4 years or 5 years, then he got another one and that one lasted almost 7 years. They're only supposed to live like 1 year. It's crazy!

ok my firs 200 pets (well ok maybe not that many but I swear we had a whole garden with graves) were birds I was very small at the time and wanted to play with them (3-4 years old) so Every chance I had I would climb up and start chasing the poor bird so they would have a heart atack. Finaly my father gave up and got me a dog.

A cat named Spooky that my Dad got me. She was lost a long time ago though. I got her back around 1985.
Here's a pic of her sleeping in my sweater drawer...she loved sleeping in there.

my first pet was a parrot.It was really a cute,smart and pretty parrot.I taught her speaking "ni hao" "zao shang hao" ,etc. in Chines.She had a beautiful voice and colorful feather. When time passing by, we built up a very close ralationship and became good friends.Every time when I came back home she would flapped her wings and said"welcome back" in Chinese.I liked her so much.Unfortunately, on one night that I forgot to take her into her case,a rat came to my house and swalloned her.

My first pet was a hamster named Teddy. I think I was 2 years old. When I went to kindergarten my mom donated him to the class. It broke my heart. I don't think I'll ever forget it.

Oh that is so sad. I would be so upset if my mom donated my pet to the school. I was sad the time my mom put my stuffed raccoon in the bag for the goodwill and that's only a stuffed animal.

It was pretty sad. I still remember it. I wish she had given him to someone instead of giving him to the school. I had to see him every day and know that he wasn't mine anymore. I don't think she realized that was going to be so hard on me. She thought she was doing a good thing but it turned out to be traumatic for me.
