About four years ago our mayor got caught stealing..doing a tag switch from a major department store. They are the ones who nabbed her and she was charged with stealing. She went to court and did a plea agreement and got probation and had to go to counciling for being a klepto....before that she had been dismissed from her job at the CBV for miss allocations of funds for taking her buddies out for lunch etc. Before that she was asked to leave another organization for the same reason. Today I see her with the head of the Chamber of our city...out for lunch with a group of city honchos and she is back in the swing! I am wondering if couciling really works and if she has been given yet another position, why? Do you think she has been cured? I really don't know her personally but with her track record I am wondering how she will fair being back in a responsibile position. I am sure there were others that were more qualified or as qualified to be in the position...are we supposed to just forgive and forget? Forgive I can...forget I can't....Do you think she will be honest this time? Do you think she should have another chance? And do you know where that big eraser is that just wipes away certain peoples mistakes? Another politician with their hands in the pot!

She should not be given a position that has a relationship with politics. She can work but not in this position nor she will be given a privilege to manage a large business. There are other people who are faithful and honest to their selves that are much qualified than her. There is still no assurance if she has already changed herself from being a kleptomaniac. Have a nice day and God speed!

I think that is disgusting, I think it should be zero tolerance when it comes to people working for the people in such a way, it amazes me how people in office or even people with just a lot of money gets away with things far more than the ordinary struggling workers do. How many times have we seen politians suddenly having memory laps and getting away with it, they should be out immediately, trouble is they are all working in with each covering each other while they fill their own pockets and getting lots of free perks along with it....

I always belived in changes. In having another chances. Because I know things are not permanent. And that we can always choose and change it the ways we wanted to. So, if only we will believe and gives a new chance, then perhaps the person will always have a room to correct her or his mistakes.

It's hard enough that she did those things but she brought total disgrace to the community. We were even featured on David Letterman! She also disgraced her family.....and friends who stood up for her. I hope for all of their sakes she has changed....but most of all I hope for her sake she has changed.

Stealing by a klepto or by a non-klepto should never be tolerated. Much more if she is a mayor who is holding a government office. They say that a public office is a public trust. How could you trust the office if the one sitting on it cannot be trusted. She is not fit for the position due to her immoral and unethical conduct. She should undergo psychological counselling. And for her own protection and self respect, she should stay away from any government positions.

I am totally in shock. Our whole town was degraded by her actions. We were even poked fun of on the late night show.....it was totally embarassing. She must not have a conscience or something! Thank for responding and thanks for letting me vent!

I think she steals as much as she can and when they fire her she "buys" another job. No one can get out of so many corruption accusations without a few bribes! She is surely not klepto.. but with a mental illness she could get out of sticky situation in court! Since she is probably just stealing small amounts of money( in comparison to the wealth of the city) no one is interested to follow her, tape her and accuse her.. since there are bigger fish to fry! Until a influential man gets sick of her outlaws and starts pulling some string.. no one will bother looking at her! If you really know she's doing this try telling the local newspaper.. though without proof they won't even move!

She is on the move....and you are right...no one cares. Or doesn't want to be bothered with another incident that could cause embarrassment for our city. The last incident was splashed all over the state papers..and on the late show ....National coverage that time.
