Eggenberg Palace, near Graz

Behind the Eggenberg Palace - Walking behind the Eggenberg Palace we found this quiet area we had never seen before and it even has it own little pond.

The winter seems to be starting now and it is much cooler today, so it is nice to remember our outing just last Sun, when my husband and I went to the Eggenberg Palace for a visit. The Palace is situated in a big garden, which is it's main attraction, especially for older people and families with small children. We like to go there to breath some fresh air and to walk among their gardens, with many old trees, which are particularly nice in autumn with the nice colours and dead leaves on the ground. The size of the place can be judged if one considers that it has 4 towers (seasons), 12 portals (months), 365 windows (days) and 24 reception rooms!

I love going to places like this, we have several mansions here in Melbourne not quite as grand as that though, but they have lovely manicured gardens and you can go inside and see how the people lived a long time ago, infact we have several complete villages based on the first villages that were here, I love going to these places and feeling yesterday....
