Today, presidential elections were held in Argentina. Out of 10 candidates, 2 of them were women: Elisa Carrio and Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. Apparently, Cristina has won! That would make her Argentina's 2ยบ female president, but the first one to be directly elected. What are your thoughts on this? How do you think this will change Argentina? and the world?

I would support a woman for president if she were the best person for the job. To vote for some one because she is a woman is or he is a man is wrong.

I agree with you. People shouldn't vote someone just "to try something new or diferent". Specially if you're choosing who will lead your country for the next 4 years!!!

I don't know anything really about Argentina politics but I pray she does well. I hope that the US can follow in Argentina's footsteps and elect a woman here. I think with more women in charge there will be less talk with missiles and more compassion for the poor.

Actually I think that most women (except for Condolezza) are more pacifistic than men. Maybe, if women ruled the world, it would be a quieter place to live in. (Though I dont know how good would they be at everything else)

I honestly think that it would be wonderful. Women unlike men men think of nothing but how to get rich and help the rich. Women think about the poor and how to help them before the rich.
