My monitor had been going out for nearly two months. Sometimes I would have to bang on it to get rid of the black in it and get a clear screen. I got very tired of doing this so I went to Goodwill to see if they had one available. I figured I would have to pay at least $15 for one from there. So when I went this weekend to check to see if they had one, they had about 4 to choose from. And guess what I didn't have to pay $15 but only $5 for it. I am so happy with this bargain that I found. It works great! And no more banging on the monitor to get a clear screen. YES!!!! So please share what bargain you have found, and if it was cheaper than you anticipated!

Last week I went to Dollar General for laundry soap. They had 90% clearance racks. I bought my daughter 4 shirts at 40 cents a piece. I bought my grandson two short and shirt outfits for next summer for 50 cents a piece. I was very happy with my finds.I love shopping at our Goodwill store.

That's awesome, better than a bargain when it is free and something that you use.

I have not been to Value Village (which is sort of like Goodwill here in Canada), as I did not have enough money to buy any bargains and in my idea, a good bargain is when someone bought something new, found it did not fit, sent it to Value Village and it was the right size and color for me as well as suited me and I only had to pay five dollars for it. It has not happened yet. But I was in Staples some months ago, and they were selling laser mice for half off. Got one for around $25 and usually they cost $60 or more. That was a bargain.

A laser mouse is like an optical mouse, only it is run by a laser. The hole in the bottom is much smaller and since the hole at the bottom is only a pin prick, there is no chance for any dust to get in. If any, all you have to do is to wipe the bottom. It lasts longer then an optical mouse and you can get them from Logitech. I got mine at half price because it was an introductory special.

A recent bargain which i struck and was very happy about is a jewellery set which i managed to buy from the actual jewellery maker. He charged me just 5% for polish while others would charge 12 to 15% and he also deducted the weight of stones to calculate the cost of jewellery. A really good bargain for me i would say.

Well, that is a Good deal for sure. I for one will always wait for Good Sales and try and buy any of my Computer items New including monitors as I prefer the Flat screened ones, especially since all of my Computers are Vista or XP. But I did recently get a Computer chair that I am having delivered from Staples tomorrow that cost me $79 and was normally $129 chair. So I got a higher quality chair for less than the price of most average New chairs everywhere, and cannot wait to get it and put it together and start using it.

Fixing your own computer is frugal - Learning fix your own computer is frugal and saves you a massive amount of money over the years. I've saved thousands.
I found when you buy family size you get better deals. The more units per package you purchase, the less you pay per unit. This I found particularly so with toilet tissue and catchup. I check the price per unit, and it is so 90% of the time. * I also buy CD's and DVD's on line in near industrial quantities for the same deals. The more you buy, the less you pay per unit. I have to store a tremendous amount of data. It also saves on shipping, as large orders are usually shipped at low shipping cost or free, as I choose the slow option. * Admittedly, shopping for CD's and DVD's and various other items online is not perhaps the greenest of options. I do it because my town can be somewhat limited in selection and very high in price as the stores in my area bring their crap from out of town. Online shopping also saves me paying store overhead when I buy PC products as well. * Another bargain I found myself availing of is repairing my own computer. Every time I make my own software repair or replacing my own CD/DVD drive or hard drive I save myself $200 plus dollars. A computer repair shop charges a minimum of $180 per hour. That doesn't include parts for the computer.

That is certainly a bargain for you! When my monitor went, I ended up getting a crappy used one for $25. I have gotten many bargains now that it is after the holidays. I just went to Clairs and bought 3 Chirstmas gifts for next year and some stocking stuffers and it was all $75 off! I only paid $20 for everything.

Hi Terri! I found a great bargain about a week or so ago on Ebay. My husband and I are trying to get more solar lighting around our home, especially outside. I was looking on Ebay because I have found good bargains on there before and I did again with some solar lighting. There was a lot of four solar powered lights that look like rocks to sit outside in your garden or whereever you need them. I bid on them and won all four for $6.99!! The shipping was added on, of course, and that made it $33.00, but still I thought it was a great bargain for four brand new solar powered rocks. SheliaLee

Hello Terri. I had a monitor go out on me completely granted I have two computers so I wasn't worried about it, but at a local thrift store they put stuff outside that they give away and I got me a monitor there and it was free. My honey and I sometimes are on the computer at the same time so we needed that monitor. I have gotten two monitors from there one was for my sister in law and hers works too. So we have been blessed with a good monitor. I also received many free things from friends that were moving to the city. They had some real good stuff that they didn't want to take with them. One thing they gave us was a big bag of candle molds. They also gave us a large box full of wax and even the wicks. Boy I felt like I was a kid in a candy store with all the great stuff they gave us.Hope you have a great day Terri!
