Life is a process. Our lives are means and not ends, and the totality of these means serves as the end. We prefer life, and we prefer benevolence. Thus, we can best achieve our function, "life", by contributing to creating an environment that favors life and benevolence. Make babies. Or discern and articulate, for others, what choices are most conducive to life and peace. Contributing to life is the meaning of life.
