"The miracles of nature do not seem miracles because they are so common. If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world." ~Unknown~ I truly believe it's the little things in life that we should pay more attention to. Things that are simple, that don't cause stress, or sadness. When I look at, say a bird, I wonder about the things they do. To fly, how nice to feel free, to migrate, move with the seasons to adapt with the weather, yet I know sometimes they fight for food and have enemies as well. Or I look at my son, and hope he feels secure and safe, that he trusts his parents are doing all they can to keep him fed, and warm, and comfortable! Whether he has certain toys or not, or certain shoes or not, he's taken care of and loved, truly, deeply. Life is so hectic and busy and stressful, what takes you back, for just a moment in time? Music does that for me as well, a song will bring back a happy memory, and I can relax for at least the 3 minutes of that song, to chill out and be happy that I have made it just one more day! But what do you look at, on a daily basis, that kinda brings you back "home", grounds you, centers you, and helps you look up to the heavens and say THANK YOU, for all the beautiful things that are in my reach?

Trouble is in this fast, speedy world we live in, we never take the time to fully appreciate Mother Nature at his finest! We take sooooo much for granted. For me the delights of mother nature is the wonderful sunsets she brings us! The smell of freshly mown grass, birds singing, and one of my favourite activities when lazing in the garden is to look up at the clouds and see what formations they make in the sky, there's a bear, there's a flower. It's such a shame that these wonderful sights are not even given a second look. When in actual fact if we stopped, slowed down and took time to admire and awe at mother nature it would actually relax us and to give us some welcome respite from the realities in life.

yes wolfie! you're right! mother nature has provided these "free" things to admire, to help us thru our everyday crazy lives, yet so many people ignore it! but there are so many people on man made anti-depressents, well geesh, go SIT outside for a lil while! it's FREE and much more healthy!! lol!!

I don't think we people will never learn to appreciate what nature has given us we keep taking it all for granted and we keep taking and taking, I love the sound of the birds and I don't know how long it has been since I have heard frogs, we must learn to appreciate everything that nature has to offer before it is too late.

you're right my friend, you never know when we will lose things, especially in nature, we take take take, and yet have our eyes closed!!

you are so right, I think with our lives we are so busy and tend to over look the little things, we only seem to notice when those things are not there anymore.
