"Jackie Bibby, the "Texas Snake Man." spent about 45 minutes in a see-through bathtub with 87 rattlesnakes Monday, fully clothed, shattering his own record by 12 snakes just in time for Guinness World Records Day, which is Thursday. A Guinness official certified the record." I can't even imagine getting that close to a bunch of rattle snakes! EEEEWW! The man is crazy! Read all about him here. http://www.theconservativevoice.com/ap/article.html?mi=D8SNRMS80&apc=9024

Quoted as follows, Bibby said. "The key to not biting is for me to stay still. Rapid movement scares a rattlesnake. If you move real slow and gentle, that doesn't seem to bother them." Hello my dear estherlou. Bibby, the snake man is really great in training the rattlesnakes not to hurt him for the Guinness records. He is really brave enough and worth admiring for his bravery to do a great thing in life. This shows to us that life is full of adventures. So long as you are desirous to fulfill your aim set in life, you will be able to have it reached with your perseverance. Thanks so much for this discussion that made me know about the great Rattlesnake Man, Bibby.

That is gross! is a pity that a person is so bored that they have to go to these limits to find something to do.I hope the snakes do not bite him , but if they do its his own fault.i do not believe we were designed to do such foolish things just to get into the Guinness Book of World records...thats like taking your life in your own hands. What a sad story..

I read about this in the paper yesterday and my first thought was "Is he nuts!!!!". I may not fear snakes but I sure wouldn't want to be 'bathing' in snakes, non or poisonious.

Hi estherlou! Ewww, that is freaky! I don't like snakes and will never ever be caught near them especially those rattlesnakes. Just hearing the rattling sounds will freak me out from a distance. Sometimes people do things that are outrageous just to prove that they are different and way above from the rest. Ewww. But I will give him one thumb up for his bravery though. Take care and have a nice day.

He's crazy and an idiot. Who in their right mind would even consider doing such a thing? All that is is an attention getter and he got just what he wanted... lots and lots of attention. I wonder what he'd have thought if he was bitten. I would've said, good for him for being so stupid.

That is one brave man to do that. I don't want to read about it, but it seems like anyone will do anything for attention. It's a good thing he didn't get bit!

That scares me just reading about it. I run a mile when I see a garden garter snake. Usually my dogs find them and I grab the dogs and run into the house and stay there for hours so they have enough time to go next door.
