What show are you most upset about that's affected by the Writer's Guild strike?

Here are a list of the shows that I've come across that are affected by the Writer's Guild strike... and believe me, this may not be a complete list: Late Show with David Letterman Tonight Show with Jay Leno Late Night with Conan O'Brien Jimmy Kimmel Show (he may wing it and do the show himself) Late Late Show Daily Show with John Stewart Colbert Report Ellen (cancelled at her own request -- a few of her writers are Guild members) The following shows should "hopefully" be good until the end of the year... Desperate Housewives (9 episodes written) Grey's Anatomy (11-13 of 22 episodes done) Ugly Betty (13 of 24 episodes done) Boston Legal (14-15 of 22 done) Lost (8 of 16 done - none have aired yet) Pushing Daisies (9 of 22) Big Shots (13 of 13 written... may be picked up for more) Cavemen (12 of 13 episodes completed, not picked up yet) Men in Trees (19 of 27 done) Cashmere Mafia (premier delayed because of strike) Dirty Sexy Money (11 of 13 episodes) Brothers and Sisters (11-12 completed) CSI: Miami (13 of 24 episodes) Criminal Minds (12 of 22) Moonlight (11 of 12 episodes, not picked up yet) Cane (13 done, not picked up yet) Jericho (7 of 7, may be released) Medium (9 of 22) 30 Rock (9 of 22) Friday Night Lights (15 of 22) Scrubs (12 of 18) The Office (delayed due to strike... unknown # of episodes) Journeyman (13 of 13, not picked up yet) Gossip Girl (13 of 22) Supernatural (10 or 12 completed) 24 (9 of 24) Back to You (9 of 24) K-Ville (10 of 13) Law and Order: Criminal Intent (second half shows not guaranteed) Nip/Tuck (second half of season could be affected) The Riches (good thru Dec 10) Whew!! That's a huge list. So what shows are you going to be upset about if they get postponed because of the strike? I am probably going to be the most upset about Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs, and The Office. I have also taken a liking to Big Shots since it is on after Grey's, but I doubt that it will be affected too much. I totally agree with why the Writer's Guild is on strike, and I hope that they get more royalties for the things they write that are posted online, but I do hope that the WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers can come to an agreement soon! I would love to hear your thoughts!

I am bummed about Office as I am sure a lot of people are. That is a great show. Guess we should look to other means of entertainment, huh? Games with the family, nooky, play with the kids, read a book? LOL

I'd say Criminal Minds and House. Criminal Minds is my favorite tv show, and House is my favorite character. I watch other shows, but these are the first to come to mind. There might be story arcs (more with House than Criminal Minds) that don't have a chance to reach a resolution within the amount of episodes they have. And, I'll just miss seeing the shows every week.

24 has been announced as postponed now until after the strike is resolved. That makes me sad. Maybe we should send Jack Bauer to "negotiate" with the writers. I guess it will be next fall or, heaven forbid, January 2009 before we get our 24 fix.

For me it will be Ellen and Brothers and Sisters. I would think that Jimmy Kimmel could do it on his own, he sure does have the wit and things come to him and out of his mouth so easily. I would also think that Ellen could come up with so many things, she could to a one woman show.

I like several that are on your list and I'm glad they seem to be in good shape. I am worried about Lost since their plan was to do only 16 episodes and run them straight through starting in Feb.; so if the strike lasts long enough it could really impact this. Also, you didn't mention Bones and Bionic Woman which are two I would miss as well as Smallville.

i'll be really upset about the daily show with jon stewart!! i guess i kind of took for granted that he is a writer and executive producer. maybe he can still write enough material for his monologues, i mean the interviews at the end seems like his own material anyway.. the correspondent section could be written by the correspondent themselves :) a lot of the shows on the list are my favorites, too.. it's just so sad that it had to come to this.. i mean, writers are very, very important parts of the production process, i cannot believe that they were unable to broker a deal.. the industry should not underestimate the importance of the writers.. especially now, that it seems they will stand to lose money as most of the shows go off the air.. they need each other so i hope they can find an agreement soon..

For me it will be Grey's Anatomy, Boston Legal, Brothers & Sisters. I didn't see Private Practice on your list but I enjoy it also! I hope the strike doesn't last long, but it will probably be longer than we all want, no matter the time frame.
