Safeway is a large grocery store in north america. You can even find some of their products in a large grocery chain in mexico. They are all over the states and mostly in western Canada. They have many different names throughout north america as they have bought out many different busniess

This is the first time I have heard of this place. So, I guess it is safe to assume that I will never work there. Besides, I am content with the place of work I am presently employed.
Maybe it is time that you began to search for a new job. But, keep this one until something better comes your way. Even crappy pay is better than nothing.

thank you for the advice that is just exactly what I am doing. I tried to quit the other day but the manager talked me out of it. I'm staying there part-time until january then going on a leave for a year.
I just wanted to make sure no one else fell into the trappings of safeway. It seems like an okay place to work but really there is a lot of bad energy there.

i may not have worked at a safe way but for a year and a half i worked at a albertsons as a courtesy clerk now granite i had a cool front end boss and some of the other workers were cool but cleaning up peoples poops and such and having old ladies yell at you because you do not have the jelly that they want is not my thing so i say dont work in a grocery store unless you have to and you have friends in high places at thAt PLACE BECAUSE IF YOU DONT IT WILL SUCK so yeh i could imagine it would suck and yes pay was horrible also i only made like 6.63 a hour and so i agree with you monkeyrose it would be a terrible place to work

wow courtesy clerks have the worst job. They get to do all the things no one else wants to do.
