mother knows best!

I think it's an instinct that mothers have. My mother has always had it, I definitely have it and my daughters now have it. It's almost like something that most females are born with.

I don't think that term is correct in the least. Not saying mothers are stupid and don't know anything, but who are we to say they know "best". Who are we to say what "best" can be defined as. I'm a female, so I'm not being sexist or anything. I just don't think ALL woman fit the description you put. We aren't all careful, we aren't all meticulous. Some of us act carelessly and implulsively. Not all woman are the same. But, ooof course, there are some cases where yes, the mother knows best. Good post :)

i believe it very much. i think mothers instinct is such a thing that mothers know best of their children's need. she can also think what her child anticipate and what's the problem with her child.

I actually don't agree with this saying if it means mother knows best as compared to father. If it means over children, then yes. As one part of a pair in parenting there are plenty of times that I don't know best. My husband understands my 6 year old a lot better than I do and can make better decisions based on this sometimes. There are a lot of things that I do know best, but there are equal numbers of times that my husband has better ideas.

generally speaking, we say that mothers know the best.that is because mothers experienced more and also have suffered more, so they have drawn lots of lessons and skills in dealing with difficulty .Usually, when we are trapped, we should turn to our mother for advice ,for nobody can match a mother in thinking for her child.But, all suggestions are not suitable for us,we must be able to balance the advice and our personal conditions and make the best decision.
