What tv or movie star do you miss the most? Was it someone who died way too young? or Died at a ripe old age? I always miss John Candy. He died way before his time and sometimes I wonder what roles he would have played now a days. He was such good friends with so many actors that are still in great movies today and I'm sure that he would have kept a successful career had he not passed. I mean, he was only 44 when he died. Another one I miss a lot is George Burns. I always loved George Burns... but he lived to be 100 and I'm glad he was able to have such a successful lifetime. Some "Honorable Mentions" so to speak would be John Belushi, Chris Farley, River Phoenix, Gilda Radner and Jim Varney.

I also loved John Candy, he was such a great actor. When he was in a movie I always new I would have a smile on my face. He was just a big cuddly guy that you had to love. My fav movir with him was, Trains, plains and automobiles, I have lost count the amount of times I have seen this film.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles is a great movie. It's Steve Martin's favorite movie that he's ever been in (Though my favorite Steve Martin film is the Jerk) John Candy was great though. I used to watch Camp Candy all the time too. Did you ever watch that show?

I would have to say the Celeb that I miss the most would be Kurt Cobain the lead singer of Nirvana. The reason I miss him so much is I was a huge Nirvana fan and I would love to see what their music would sound like today. I also miss the comedians like John Candy, John Ritter, George Burns, & Chris Farley. PurpleTeddyBear.

Oh yeah, I don't think it's a bad thing at all to wonder about Nirvana today. Some bands from that era have still survived. A lot have. They would have grown too... but I'm just thankful we have a Foo Fighters! ha ha.

John Candy for sure, Chris Farley, John Ritter... especially John Ritter because my mom actually met him while taking my brother and I to a TMNT concert back in the late 1980's.

Almost everyone in the 10 comments before you mentioned John Ritter. He was definitely one to be missed too. See, I never watched 8 Simple Rules, so it had been a while since I'd seen him anything...but I do remember when he passed away it was really sad.

I never thought about her but that was really sad. For so many reasons. It was a horribly tragic way to die.

one tv star that i miss and believe went too soon is john ritter. he was hilarious. i had been a fan since watching re-runs of three's company and then he started the show eight simple rules, which was a fairly good show. it was just really sad when he passed away so suddenly.

Yeah he seems to be a winner. I loved him back in the day but I'd never gotten into the whole thing with 8 Simple rules, but it was totally sad. It was a sudden thing and i hope his son has the chance to be as great as his father.

John Ritter was the one who hit me the most... I LOOOVED him, and his acting. I bawled when I found out, and then bawled even more when I watched the finale of 8 Simple Rules for Dating my Teenage Daughter, just after he passed away. I still cry when I watch that episode whenever it comes on.

See I never got into 8 simple rules, I tried because I loved John Ritter also, but I just couldn't get into that show. He seems to be a winner. He really was a great comedian, I loved Three's Company also.

Vincent Price definitely! I agree on John Belushi, while I loved the brothers together, I especially loved John Belushi...and it's so tragic how many seem to take their own lives that way.

John Lennon RIP - John Lennon
The first one who came to mind was John Lennon. Such a talented man and he was trying so hard to make the world a better place to live. But you did mention so many of my favorites especially Gilda Radner and River Phoenix who was wayyyy to young to die. Another of my favorites was Andy Kaufman and I cry if I even see the movie "Man on the Moon" is on tv.

John Lennon and John Ritter seem to be the big hits. I wasn't much on John Lennon personally, but I feel you on them. River Phoenix was so cute too, I wonder if he would have stayed cute... or who he would have been more like.. His brother Jauquin(however it's spelled) or some of those either cute boys of his times. Too many SNL people have passed away.
