I'm thinking of getting a new white car but someone told me that birds tend to target white cars to poop - is that true? Which colour is the safest from birds?

There is no safe color! We have a maroon blazer, a white toyoto and a black mustang, and none of them are safe. The best way to avoid it is to not park under trees, high lines, etc. So, pick whatever color vehicle you like and just watch where you park!

Wow that is interesting and I have never heard that birds choose various colors to "eliminate" on. (Kind of chuckling to myself thinking about it). Aside from the bird thing, white vehicles (where I live when there is snow in winter, salt and sand trucks spreading this over the roads for traction, etc) white vehicles almost always look dirty and it is much easier to see scratches from the brushes at car washes, etc. On the other hand, GM paint (for the past several years) in the color white is somehow "electromagnetically applied" and will come off of the primer in large patches with very little time. One good thing about white is that touch up paint or repainting is very inexpensive. The more "pigment" in the paint (I used to match, mix and sell auto paints) especially reds, the higher the cost.
