I think he can be great player, but whether he can be a captain for Man U is difficult to say just yet. I think as long as Fergie is there he would look at people in the defensive midfield or the defence as the captain as they are better able to read the game from their position. I think currently there are some real good talent that have the makings of a captain for Man U, Ronaldo is one of them. Cheers! Ram

well .its too early to say whether Cristiano Ronaldo .. is . going to be Captain for Man U in the coming future .. well .. he is a magnificent and a gifted talented player .. one of the best in the business at the moment ...but i think He will be better off .. without the captain arms band :0 . i would rather prefer to see . Hargreaves or some other midfield player .. to Be Captain than an Attackign Player . but then ya neva know whats goin on in the mind of Sir Alex Fergusen :D

he's already a good player. everyone cant deny his ability. but yet, i think he not ready to be a captain. he still young but next 3 or 5 years he could be a great captain for manchester united

i agree that rooney is more suited to become captain. both have a lot to learn before they are even considered for it though

no, yes he is a great player, but he is not mature enough to lead a team onto the pitch and through out 90minutes. Rooney or in the future Tevez or Anderson have good captaning qualities.

I can seee Ronaldo becoming captain onefine day soon. It is possible, especially if he can stay a little longer. However, there is stronger contention from Wayne Rooney, and of course Van der Sar himself if they outstay Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville.

I'm not sure Ronaldo is captain material... surely someone like Wayne Rooney is more suited to the role. Mind you, Cantona was foreign and temperamental and he made a great captain in the end.
