There are not many places to eat close to where I work so I take my lunch. I am running out of ideas on what to fix, does anyone have some ideas?

I take a packed lunch to work also, i'm a vegetarian so there isn't much I can whip up that's amazingly exciting and I try to eat light so it's a bit of a nightmare! In winter months though I take soup as we have a microwave and sometimes even noodles. When I want something cold i'll make a salad with either a bit of home-made potato salad or some pasta with pesto. I do get stuck in a rut sometimes but I do love the basics like fake beef sandwiches. What do you usually take?

Yesterday I fell off my wagon, and bought a frozen dinner. Sometimes it seems that when I get up, I don't want anything, and everything is too much trouble, but come lunch time....well you know the rest. I am not a vegetarian, and I can see where that would become a whole set of new problems. I love my slow cooker, and use it a lot. I did live in Kentucky, and in the winter I would make a lot of soups, and chili, but I don't know that I will want that as much here in southern Florida, we will see.

ooh no, you need something refreshing when it's hot. Fruit salads and yogurts. cold meats, olives, pickles, salads and fresh bread and cheese. I like one-pot cooking although I haven't done much of it recently as I haven't had a cooker or oven.

It would be a lot easier to give some suggestions if we knew what you have been taking.
