How mnay here ever so often get those free CDs for free or cheap internet access? They have them at so many stores, restaraunts, and a lot of them get mailed to us. I have had AOL for 17 years and they still send me those CD's. Well here's a neat little thing I do with them. I use them as coasters for glasses or cups of beverages. I figure they are free and easily replaced, so why not. They work well also. Give it a try. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

LOL Grandpa Bob, it's funny the way you put it. And yes, I agree they will make good coasters lol. You are referring to those dialup thingy? I remember receiving one of those maybe a decade ago. Nowadays most are on broadband. I am on cable and it's just plug and play.. no CDs required.

Yeah well what can I say. I am cheap and only have dial up. Slow as hell but still online. HAHAHAHA!! Plus I get a few free coasters yearly from various ISP companies. HAHAHAHA!! P.S. I've had up to 4 discussions in the top ten hot topics yesterday & today and just can't get above you there. LOL. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I think, perhaps, it has to do with the geographic area. Here in Singapore, we have free wireless access in public places so you can go broadband as long as you have a suitable laptop. Dialup costs are actually higher than that of broadband if you use more than a while. :P

Free CD's - a free CD
When we first started getting them, my son collected the CD's to throw around and use them as frisbees. He had a lot of fun with them. Using them as coasters is a good idea too.

I have never got any such free CDs in my life. Actually in India we hardly get any such thing as free CDs. I just hope that happens so that we can have internet access at a very cheap rate

They also make great mini-frisbees. Of course for a real treat, take two and place a chocolate bar between and enjoy the great crunch.

I think as a frisbee it could be a td bit dangerous. I can just see the news now, "This just in. A golden Retieiver was killed today at a local dog park trying to catch a CD frisbee thrown by it's owner. Film at 11." HAHAHAHAHA!!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

They also work very well as a scarecrow type of detterant in the gardens. The sun shines off the disc scaring birds and squirrels away. many stores have them at the registers for free as well. If you need any just ask the cashiers. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I have seen birdhouses made out of these things. I am seriously considering using them to wallpaper a room in my house. I think it would look pretty neat. Or perhaps I could use them as siding on the house? They might also help to reflect some of the heat of the sun.

My son made a mobile out of those CDs. The kids really like it because when light hit them they were so shiny. My grandson like to use them as frisbees. I just give mine away to who ever wants them. Happy posting..
