Christmas shopping will be rough this year. The price of gas is so high. I already have my lists from the family as to what they want for christmas. I like to shop around for my gifts, but that will be hard this year. I just can't afford the gas to drive around. How will you do your christmas shopping this year?

I'm not a shopper so what I do is buy gift cards. It works extremely well for me. We have three adult children, one lives out of state, two grandchildren who also lived out of state and a husband who has everything he needs. I set a limit and go to one or two stores at the very most and buy the cards. I've been doing this the past two or three years and everyone is happy. I also bought two gift cards for two kids, 9 and 12, and they really enjoyed the experience of shopping at Target or Walmart and simply getting whatever they wanted. No returns, no unhappy kids with gifts they didn't want and mom was really happy. Obviously the cards are not as personal as a special gift but it works surprisingly well for me.
