Do you think it's right that Bush signed a bill against internet poker?

Now it is illegal to play poker and win online, do you think its right that the government has this control over us?

The law is terrible, and I'm no Bush fan, but the real terrible thing was sticking it in as a rider to a national security bill. I don't have money to gamble with, and whatever money I make here won't go to gambling, but it would be nice to be able to play for money online once I can afford to do so.

I know it sucks ... I didnt know he added it to a national security bill ....Ive just heard all the hipe about it... Oh please how does that have anything to do with national security?

Nothing at all...I think that it's against Bill Frist's religious beliefs so he snuck it in there.

I think its because the state cant make any tax money off the internet. so they decide it's not right and make it illegal .... Just their way of saying no fair

No I don't think he has a right to do this. I think it really sucks cause I made some good money on poker

I bet ... and Im sure alot of people did thats why they're making it illegal... the government wasn't reaping the rewards so they had to find a way to handle that.... so cut it off

What???????? I didn't know that, for what reason?????? My dad use to play online, he only does it every once in a while. He probably doesn't know this bill passed. I'll have to call him and tell him about it. Thanks for the information.

I believe the reason is because casinos pay a part of the money that they make to the state that they are in and if its over the net then the government cant get any money. They arent liking that so they have to find a way to get rid of the problem , so lets say its illegal
