Warming Poles or Volcanoes?

Volcano under the Antarctic - Recent volcanism is causing a certain sweatiness in Antarctica which is being blamed entirely on Global Warming.

Most folks think that global warming is the only reason the Antarctic is heating up and melting ice left and right. * Well, there turns out there is another culprit. A rather hot one. One that is potentially even more explosively alarming if it lets blow than simple global warming because at least the former lets us know and gives us warning we are going to have some serious mush. * The problem? There is a big, fat, and increasingly active volcano under the Antarctic and if you had one of those under you it would be a bit sweaty for you too. Worse, there's been two reasonably sized earthquakes up there of late. One was 5.8 and the second was 6.3. Apparently, that's as rare as a skunk doing the Charleston in the White House.

There are also deep sea volcanoes that either go off or they release heat from time to time. The sunspot cycle showed a slight increase and variation. Mars is also going through a warming of its own, though research is still going. Some studies show the ice in the Antarctic and other areas is growing. http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/sppi_reprint_series/the_role_of_greenland_in_sea_level_rise_a_summary_of_the_current_literature.html Thanks for bringing this to attention Crafty, its good to analyze this.

Yes, it would be shortsighted to blame it all on cars right off the bat with out considering other natural culprits, or culprits that have been around longer than we have.

Much upset of your notings of earthquake under antarctaic . Of course quakes might be normal but volcano under there a horror for species in the world. Because humans' can do better living upto their availability . Whereas the species and animals cannot withstand upto that climate problems. Of course birds were now facing global warming and adjust as per their requirements and facing the challenges of warming with birds is exemplary. Main sufferers will be those animals species of those antarctic area.

Very true. As a species we will probably survive, provided the disaster isn't overwhelming. * Poor people living on coastal areas of poor countries are as vulnerable as animal species to disaster. Communities in India and other areas would have a difficult if not impossible time relocating to higher ground considering how populated the higher ground already is. Some countries are tiny islands that have no higher ground to go to. So we do have quite a mess here.
