Altoids Are Peppermint!!!

I just realized today that Altoids are peppermints. I bought a container of sixty small ones the other day. I never knew that a candy could be so nasty. So, why did I buy them you ask? Because I love candy and if this stuff was not so nasty, I would eat it all up and have no breath mints left. Believe me, I will only use these strong peppermints when absolutely needed. Do you like Altoids or not?

Well, they DO have chocolate altoids. Altoids used to have a commercial and their tagline was 'curiously strong.' They didn't lie! LOL

Altoids are so strong you will never have a sinus problem again, LOL. Actually, I had one today and they remind me of those Listerine breath strips. What do you mean I should not be eating candy? Are you mad? I like chocolate too. My favorite is See's Nuts and Chews. Oh yummy, yummy, yummy, to the tummy, he, he.

Don't worry, they can not legally be called candy. They are much too nasty. You are not missing a thing.

Altoids are notoriously strong. If I have a cold, those babies open up my sinuses like nobody's business! Have you tried the Chocolate Altoids? They might be more your cup of tea. Because I don't think it tastes like chocolate peppermint or anything.

That's a good way of breaking the candy habit, only buy disgusting candy. In that case, I recommend Sour Patch Kids.

I did not know that they had chocolate. But, I would gobble those up to fast if they taste good. That's the reason I got the disgusting ones, he,he.

I don't like Altoids either. I'm not really all that big a fan of mint stuff period. I eat mints only when I absolutely feel like I need to freshen up or something. My mom, on the other hand, keeps Altoids and mints with her all the time and loves them and is always trying to get me to like Altoids. They're just too strong tasting.

I am not much of a mint person either. But I have gotten use to the Altoids. One good thing about them is that I do not eat them like candy, LOL.

I LOVE altoids. I don't know why. I have to admit that I do love the wintergreen ones more than the peppermint. The cinnamon are ok, but nothing that I'd buy again. I haven't tried the sour ones, and I'm not really interested. I actually ate 2 tins of peppermint altoids in one day, once. Once I start getting going it's hard to stop, LOL.

Two tins in one day. So how is your cast iron stomach doing anyway, LOL?

Hi Rozie37! Altoids are not widely available here in our country and a cousin of mine usually send me some those in small round tin cans once in awhile. I do like them though I haven't tasted the peppermint flavor of altoids yet. However, I do like peppermints. Take care and have a nice day. :)

Well, you will get a lot of pepper and not a whole lot of mint, LOL.

I do like them. They do seem to freshen your breath quite quickly. They are a powerful little mint. I do prefer the wintergreen mints the best.

Altoids are very strong. They will clear out your sinuses thats for sure! The chocolate covered ones are good. I actually keep my change in an Altoids can in my purse. Cashiers always get a kick out of it.

The containers are perfectly reusable. I know some people who use them for ashtrays.

They have several different flavors actually. I prefer the cinnamon ones. They also have spearmint and chocolate dipped ginger flavored ones. They are very strong. My 4 year old niece has been eating her dads peppermint ones since she was 1 1/2 years old. She loves them.

That is one brave kid. She would most likely be able to stomach my cooking also. If that is the case, LOL.
