Rising cost of gasoline

The cost of gasoline is going up daily, so we have to save gasoline. I've read some tip from an engineer who works with a gas company and I want to share them with you. He said that if one will have a refill, its better to have one on a cool part of the day. He recommends refills be done in the morning, since gasoline expands when the environment is hot and its more dense when its cool. Its also more advisable to have a fill when on half empty/full, so that the space inside the tank is less. The more the space, the more the evaporated gasoline. I hope this helps.

This is a very good idea. But it can only help a little. The government need to man up and step up to the plate and provide an answer. They are voted into office to help us out. Now gas is up the roof, mortgage up the roof, prices of goods cost more because to transport it cost more but you know what our salary is not going up. By simple math we can tell what's going to happen if nothing is changed.

I have also read that having your car as empty of cargo as possible will also save on gas. Thing that we really don't need that and weight to the car, Such as spare tires. Now i'm not going any where with out a spare tire but take every thing else out. This may only save pennies but hey pennies add up. so does keeping the tires inflated to the correct amount of air. Aggressive driving (speeding, rapid acceleration and braking) wastes gas.As a rule of thumb, you can assume that each 5 mph you drive over 60 mph is like paying an additional $0.20 or more per gallon for gas. If your oing long distance driving use the cruse control and the over drive.
