Anyone else disgusted by Japan's whale hunting?

I just read today that Japan is going on a large whale hunt for "scientific reasons" (claiming it is scientific but the meat will end up on the commercial market which is illegal). They want to kill humpback whales to study breeding and feeding habits. A total of 935 minke whales and up to 50 fin whales. How are they going to study any kind of habits on DEAD animals? I hope Greenpace finds this boat and shoots them out of the water. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21877284/

I was going to start a discussion about this today, but you beat me to it. No worries. Australia & New Zealand are up in arms about this & rightly so. It seems our Governments are immune to doing anything drastic to stopping this, so our private & voluntary groups. Hoorah for Greenpeace & Sea Shepard, who are both on their way now to intercept the Japanese whaling Fleet. Greenpeace only involve themselves in non-violent protests. The Sea Shephard have no qualms about intervening. They will ram the Japanese ships if necessary, cut their nets & do whatever is necessary to save the whales.
