Why would anyone want to do this?

In Spring Mills, Pennsylvania, this guy, Tom Wisniowski, killed a female albino black bear...The part that pissed me off was the fact that the female bear was only 47 pounds or 21 kilos...A cub..He shot and killed a baby cub, not to mention a very rare Albino (white) cub...and a female at that...he said at first he thought it was a coyote, but when she got closer he knew it was an unusual bear...
I don't understand why he wanted to do this...No cub should be killed....I am appalled as to why he thought it would be okay to do this...There can't be that much meat on the baby cub and I can only say he got it as a trophy to show off....
What type of skill does it take to kill a baby cub?...Not much..

thats so sad for someone to do that,i know some people would kill to eat it but i could never do such thing.i would feel so horrible.hugs.pattie

Hi Feona Actually it don't matter to bear hunter what color a bear is white or black.. They are interested in one thing and that's the meat on it.. Alot of people do kill the cubs because the meat is more tender.. kind of like Deer when they kill them.. Sometimes it can be a mistake but i think sometimes people intend to kill for that reason only.. Just my oppion!

Most people just kill bears for their skin or for sport. It is really sad that they would do that.

That's awful! I hate killing animals for sport! I just hate it. I believe if you kill an animal it should only be for food not just to kill just because. That's why a lot of animals have gone extinct just killing them for no good reason. People have no respect for any kind of life be it human or animal and that just makes me sick.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. This person was never taught that rule. Possibly this person was never taught anything that dealt with diserning right from wrong.

I disagree with the hunting of animals for sport. If you kill it should should eat it. He said that he was shooting at what he thought was a coyote, which he shouldn't have been doing unless he was a farmer and it was killing his stock. The man must have been stupid of blind if he mistook a coyote for a bear.

That's for sure, it takes no real skill to kill a baby cub! That should have illegal, I think. I live in Pa. and I think there's a weight limit not to mention there should be some protection for a rare animal like that. That makes me almost want to cry; bear cubs are so adorable to start with. Forty-seven pounds isn't that much bigger than my cat, Squirt! He's big for a house cat but small when compared to other animals. What a sad story.
