Can I add comments to responses received for Discussions started by me?

I would like to add comments to Response, which I received for Discussion started by me. Will it cost for me? What MyLot meaning by 11th Point of Discussion Guideline DON'Ts. Can I attach one more question to my Discussions After Posting.
I have noticed that After Posting a comment to the reponses received to my discussions the response count decreased by 1, what may the reason behind this?

Which is:
"Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earnings."
When you start a discussion, you will get replies, adding comments to the replies doesn't add money to your earnings. Therefore, you should add something new when you add a comment, you shouldn't just say Thank you. I am sure you see many comments left on responses that are much longer than just two words "thank you".

Hi callarse, thanks for your response. I had one discussion and I have added some comments to that after posting the same my response count got down to 8 from 9. As I a starter I wondered about that.

adding comments to the replies doesn't add money to your earnings. Therefore, you should add something new when you add a comment, you shouldn't just say Thank you
Adding comments to the replies does add money to your earnings although you shouldn't just say "thank you" but add more to your comments in order to further the discussion.

Your number count decreases probably because one of the discussion that you responded to or your own discussion was deleted.

No, as you said, according to the guidelines of mylot, you will not be paid for the comments which you added to the responses for your discussion..
And also as you noticed that, you will not be added this as your number of discussion..
Only your new discussions and your responses to others discussion will alone will be considered for the numher of postings counting..
sometimes, if you start one new discussion, that will be updated after posting one of the next discussions, that next discussions may be your comment for the responses which you received for your discussions..

Yes, you are advised to add comments to the responses that you get for your discussion. It will not cost you but instead you will be paid for it. The more you type, the more you earn.
You can't add anything else to your discussion once it is posted but you can add it in your comments to the responses you get on your discussion.
If you promote links on your discussions, your discussions will be deleted by Admin and that is probably why your number count has decreased. However, you can always promote your links and banners on your profile, that is what most members do.
