Does the people you work with exchange gifts or do they all get together and draw names? Is everyone expected to give the boss a gift or do you all pool the money for just one special gift? Does everyone participate?

Yes we do have exchange gifts during Christmas. Anyone is invited to join as long as they still have a budget. With regards to giving gift to our boss, we don't usually give gifts for Christmas coz we are expecting the boss to give us gifts instead..hehe..But we do if its our boss birthday or anniversary. We think of a thing that we can buy and each employees contributes money...=)

hi, my place we used to dutch as in remove money and get gifts or eatables for the department and celebrate this was during the birthdays. But i hate this concept of gifting as i feel that even if you donot like the person than also just for the sake of it you have to give the gifts. Evry month its a good expense.

Where I work the department heads draw names and we all get together and buy the administor a gift but you don't have to go in on it if you don't want. We have a employee Christmas party where everyone brings a covered dish and we all spend a couple of hours together, we also recieve or bonuses and or Christmas club at this party. You don't have to be at the party unless you want to.
