It sounds like a man made bomb. there are people out there that can bombs out of anything. maybe he did this horrible thing thinking at he/she could get away with this and the officials would never think of it possible. but I know they will catch the bad guy/girl which ever they are. Is kinda scary to know there are people like this out there huh?

did they specify what make and model he has? if its true, there should be an investigation about it and hopw it had exploded and if found that the cell phone is reallt at fault then the cellphone company should be liable and should be punished by law.

As per me, the reason for cell phone explosion would have been the battery blast. The compact batteries used to power most of the portable gadgets today have shouwn at times how dangerous they can be. Last year, Dell company had to make thousands of Laptop batteries as incidents of sony batteries in dell laptops bursting into flames came into light. Few months back, a sensation arose in my country India when several cases Nokia cell phone batteries bursting while they were being chaged came into light. Ultimately, Nokia had to arrange all BL5C series of batteries to bereplaced. Actually there are costs associated with good things, and in case of portable gadgets, it is the safety. We actually carry mini bombs in our pockets. Safety authorities should give serious look at these things.

I have never heard that a cell phone could blow up! That is very strange and I wonder what could have made it go haywire?
